Durban woman flies to Joburg to braid her hair
A Durban woman left social media buzzing after documenting her trip to Johannesburg just to get her hair braided at a premium salon.
The aspirational TikTok clip, shared by @miss.anele, showcased the full luxury experience, from a high-tech scalp analysis to the final styling, leaving viewers both shocked and impressed.

In the video, Anele revealed that she booked a flight to the City of Gold specifically to visit Majestic Premium La Maison, a salon known for its exclusive service.
Upon arrival, she was welcomed with a bottle of Fiji water, which she admitted was her first time tasting.
Her salon experience began with a scalp treatment worth R1 050, where an HD scanner revealed irritation and sensitivity.
This was followed by a relaxing massage and vessel brushing to stimulate hair growth and prevent dandruff.
The main installation featured three bundles of human hair, each costing R1 000. Labour charges alone came to around R13 000, with the total bill for her braids reaching R4 500.
When combined with the scalp treatment, Anele’s luxury salon visit cost just over R5 500.
The stylist sealed the look with steamed curls and Fenty by Rihanna edge control, ensuring every detail was flawless.
