A group of technocrats, professionals and youth influencers under the umbrella of the Peoples Alliance for Progressive Change (P-APC) has declared support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Osun State, Mr Bola Oyebamiji, ahead of the August 15 election.

The group also pledged to mobilise 30,000 votes for the APC candidate, saying he possesses the capacity to lead the state effectively.

The endorsement was made during a strategic engagement tagged “AMBO Victory Dialogue,” where stakeholders discussed strategies to ensure victory for the APC candidate.

Speaking at the event, the President of P-APC, Mr ‘Sola Taofeek, described Oyebamiji as a competent public figure with extensive experience in both the private and public sectors.

He noted that Oyebamiji had served in various capacities, including at OSICOL, as Commissioner for Finance in Osun State, and as Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA).

He said the group was formed to support and mobilise voters ahead of the election, based on confidence in the candidate’s track record.

The Chairman of the event, Mr Olaide Mustapha, said the growing support for Oyebamiji across different sectors was a reflection of public confidence in his leadership capacity.

He added that Osun State required a leader with tested experience, financial discipline and development-focused policies.

The Head of Operations of P-APC, Miftau Adebowale, said the group had begun putting structures in place across the state to support voter mobilisation.

He stated that Oyebamiji, while at OSICOL, contributed to strengthening the company’s financial base through investment initiatives.

Adebowale added that the group’s structure would be activated across all local government areas and wards to support grassroots mobilisation and campaign efforts.
