Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding celebration featured a performance from music icon Stevie Nicks, adding another memorable moment to the couple’s highly anticipated ceremony at Madison Square Garden in New York on Friday, July 3.
The special appearance was confirmed during Saturday’s edition of Good Morning America by co-anchor Robin Roberts, who attended the wedding alongside colleagues George Stephanopoulos and Michael Strahan.
“We can confirm that Stevie Nicks did perform,” Roberts said while reflecting on the celebration.
Reports also indicate that Swift joined the Fleetwood Mac legend for a soundcheck before the ceremony began. However, it has not been revealed whether the singer later shared the stage with Nicks during the wedding or which songs were performed.
Stephanopoulos also offered a glimpse into the setting, describing the event as remarkably intimate despite taking place inside one of the world’s most famous arenas.
“It was as intimate as it could possibly be, given that it was Madison Square Garden,” he said, adding that organisers had created “a garden inside the Garden that was so beautiful.”
Nick’s appearance came as little surprise to longtime fans of the pair, who have enjoyed a close friendship for years. They famously performed together at the 2010 Grammy Awards, and Nicks later contributed the poem ‘For T — and me’ to the physical editions of Swift’s 2024 album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department’. Swift also honoured the rock legend in ‘Clara Bow,’ the closing track on the standard edition of the album.
Following Swift and Kelce’s engagement, Nicks spoke warmly about the relationship in an interview with ‘Rolling Stone’, saying the pop superstar was “in a good place right now” and had found “a good man.”
