Reality TV star and rapper Jub Jub is once again in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.

The Uyajola 9/9 host, real name Molemo Maarohanye, is reportedly being investigated for fraud after allegedly defaulting on a loan he took out to fund an event back in December 2024.

Trouble began when TikTok user Likhona Sukume went public with claims that Jub Jub had borrowed R50,000 from him to help cover costs for the event, with the promise that he would repay the money using proceeds from ticket sales.

However, according to Likhona, only R15,000 was returned, and after repeated failed attempts to get the rest, he decided to take legal action.

“I could see this man is playing around. I tried to communicate, and when I did not get him on a call, I decided to make a voice note telling him I’m going to take legal action if he doesn’t pay back my entire amount. So, he gave me R15,000,” he told TshisaLIVE.

Likhona also claimed that Jub Jub later promised to settle the balance once Moja Love, the TV channel he works with, paid him, but that never happened.

Frustrated, he delivered a letter of demand issued by the Small Claims Court to a residence reportedly owned by Jub Jub, accompanied by police officials.

The viral TikTok post triggered more revelations, with several other users stepping forward, alleging they too are owed money by the star.

One couple claimed he owed them a staggering R200,000, further fueling suspicions of a disturbing pattern of non-payment.

Likhona believes that Jub Jub’s behaviour goes beyond mere negligence.

He called it criminal and revealed that he has formally opened a case, prompting authorities to launch a fraud investigation into debts said to total around R120,000.

While Jub Jub previously hinted at taking action against Likhona following the public accusations, it’s unclear whether he has formally responded to the latest developments.
